Types of Surveys Available
"Mortgage Survey - One Trip"
Performed after the construction
is complete on an existing home for mortgage purposes. The purpose of this
survey is to show encroachments and any improvements to the property.
"Foundation Survey"
Conducted after the foundation
of the house is poured. Not always adequate for obtaining title insurance and
not as complete as a construction mortgage survey.
"Construction Mortgage Survey -
Two Trip"
Required for new construction. Indicates the
location of new construction or where the new home will be built. Owner/builder
places stakes at the location of the proposed building and these stakes are
located on the first trip. The second trip locates everything once construction
is complete.
"Construction Boundary Survey -
Two Trip"
Required when client wants to locate the
boundary of the property (property corners) so they will know where to place
the home. The second trip to locate everything once the construction is
complete.
"Boundry Survey"
Performed to locate property corners.
Typically, this survey is more expensive than the others because the property
corners may not be easily found and must be referenced from adjacent
properties, which can be very time consuming.
