Types of Flood Certifications
Available
"Basic Flood Zone Determination"
A one-time review of real property to determine whether the subject real
property is located within a "special flood hazard area" as identified by FEMA
(Federal Emergency Management Agency) or FIRM (Flood Insurance Rate Maps).
"Life of Loan Flood Zone
Determination"
In conjunction with a Basic Flood Zone Determination, a data base is maintained
for the life of the loan and reviewed for flood hazard status changes resulting
from the issuance of an official new or revised FIRM, as issued by FEMA. In the
event the flood zone status of the real property securing the loan has changed
as the result of the issuance of the FIRM, a written notice is provided to the
customer indicating the flood zone status change. Once notification has been
provided, the customer has an option to order an updated certification/Basic
Flood Zone Determination at no additional cost.
"HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure
Act) Census Tract"
Provided in conjunction with a basic flood determination upon request. Provides
census tract information to assist with HMDA reporting requirements consisting
of: 1) State FIPS Code, 2) County Code, 3) MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area)
number and 4) applicable Census Tract number. Information is reflected within
the comments section of the flood certification.
